CUSTOM JEWELRY

I love making custom jewelry. It's such a collaborative effort between my clients and me and every time I create a unique piece for someone, I build new relationships, learn new skills, and share in someone's happiness. Each of these custom pieces tells a beautiful story. And each piece was made with and given from the heart. If you're interested in talking with me about custom jewelry, please contact me.
My client wanted to repurpose the diamonds from an old bracelet and two peachy pearls and turn them into a special graduation gift for her daughter. To give her versatility, we made the earrings convertible so they can be worn with or without the pearl drops.
My client wanted to give his wife a gift that commemorated the life of their beloved dog who'd recently passed away. I carved the paw imprint in wax, cast it in 18K gold, made the bail in the letter "t" for the sweet pooch's name, and set five aquamarines in the metal, which features my signature cashmere finish. I loved making this piece and cried when it was finished.
My client was ready to convert her mother's Tiffany & Co. prong-set precious topaz and diamond ring to something that suited her style. We chose a modern silhouette that's inspired by antiquity, changed the orientation of the stone, and flush set the two diamonds into an 18K green gold ring. She now has a piece that honors her mother, that is versatile, and that reflects her unique style.

The finished ring in 18K green gold with the sapphire. There's a beautiful but hidden inscription on the bottom of the ring band.
We repurposed my clients diamonds and made a pair of sophisticated platinum studs. We added pale green sapphires to match my client's eyes and made a pair of earrings that will easily take her from day to night.
As a child, my client and her brother played with this large, beautiful garnet crystal, much like you'd play with a marble. She had such special memories of this stone and decided she wanted to turn it into a piece of jewelry. I created a custom contoured setting in 18K green gold. We kept the antiquity-inspired setting simple so that the garnet became the main focus.
"I want a ring that looks like something you'd find at an archeological dig." This was my client's request for the seven heirloom diamonds that were passed down from her great grandmother. I carved the ring in wax, created an earthy, eroded texture, and cast the ring with the stones in place.
"I want to surprise my wife with a ring to celebrate five beautiful years of marriage. I'm thinking pink gold and green sapphires," said my client. Here's my rough sketch for him.
Final wax carving with stones (inverted here) in their positions.
Finished ring. 14K recycled pink gold with five green sapphires. There's one each of a pear, marquise, princess, oval, and emerald-cut stone. As my client said, "five different but equally beautiful stones for five different and equally beautiful years of marriage." Of course I got choked up!
He said YES! I love making custom jewelry and this piece is really special. I first met Tatyana and Justin in December 2013 when Tatyana tried on one of my necklaces at a show. It looked beautiful on her, so beautiful, in fact, that Justin came back a few minutes later and secretly bought it for her. Tatyana and I bonded over sustainable jewelry in that first encounter and we exchanged information: It is because of her that my collection is available on Ecohabitude today. A couple of months ago Tatyana asked if we could meet about "something" and I was intrigued and excited. She told me that she wanted to propose to Justin and asked if I'd make the ring. We sat, talked, and sketched ideas together and when I asked Tatyana what Justin meant to her she answered: "He's my home." I still get teary recalling our conversation! This 18K recycled gold ring has the word "home" carved into it in Morse Code and features a recycled Harmony diamond. I am so honored to share in this beautiful family's joy.
I was so honored when my clients asked me to make their wedding bands. They wanted the rings to feature diamonds from the groom's late mother. They wanted simplicity but with a twist so we set the diamonds on the inner edge of the rings to keep them close to the heart. This is the ultimate Love Is Love commission and I am so happy knowing that my grooms are wearing these rings happily ever after.
