![]() Trendvision Trendbook 2018 When I design my work, I create, I break, I reassemble, and stop when I'm happy. Some of my pieces come quickly, others take months or years to be "just so." So when industry authority Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting included my pieces in their 2018 Trendbook, I was delighted. This is a BIG, beautiful, and meticulously researched annual and I could get lost in this book's pages for days. |

It's pretty common knowledge that I'm obsessed with tourmalines, so when A Thousand Facets chose my rose-cut green tourmaline and 22K gold ring for her About Style guest post, I was over the moon. Here's what she wrote: “While working in book publishing, Judi Powers fell in love with the art of designing and making jewelry. And she’s doing everything right. She’s a huge advocate for sustainability and ethically-sourced materials, and draws inspiration from childhood memories, nature, even Buddhist architecture. I love this vibrant tourmaline engagement ring for the bride who thinks outside the box and wants something completely striking and different from the norm.”

Liz Kantner's beautiful blog, STAY GOLD, is that perfect combination of smart, personal, engaging and pretty. I always learn something new and special about jewelry, fashion/art, and music--my three great loves--from her. So when my friend Liz wrote about my Pebble rings, I was really excited for two reasons: first of all, it's flattering when someone like Liz likes my jewelry; and secondly, and most importantly, it's deeply rewarding when a design and the inspiration behind it resonate with a writer. For me, that's what making jewelry is all about.

5 Brands That Make Eco-Friendly Jewellery for Girlie Girls by Paige French "Did you grow up with pictures of horses on your wall? Was your first piece of ‘jewellery’ a daisy chain? Judi Powers knows how you feel. Heavily inspired by nature, she creates tiny little ‘star’ stud earrings, whimsical tree branch necklaces, and yes, even a horse pendant called “Buttercup” (named after her own childhood horse), all perfectly suited for the grown-up “girlie girl”. Of course, Powers uses only ethically sourced, recycled metals and gems for her pieces, which radiate a very feminine warmth and personality." ![]() March 25, 2015

NOVEMBER 2013-JANUARY 31, 2014, BROOKLYN METAL WORKS MAKERS 2013 SHOW
My home away from home is my studio at Brooklyn Metal Works. There I'm surrounded by ridiculously talented, inspiring, and supportive artists and I am so happy that I've found the best possible environment in which to make my own jewelry. On November 23, the Makers 2013 2nd Annual Membership Show opened and I'm thrilled to be among the participating artists. The show is open through January 2014 so stop by and check it out!

September 26, 2013, UNCOMMON GOODS
I am so excited to announce that I'm the September 2013 winner of UncommonGoods' Jewelry Design Challenge. The Goods blog ran a short interview with me about my design process, and the competition. My community--both online and on the ground--gave me TONS of support and I am deeply thankful for and honored by all the encouragement I've gotten and continue to receive!
