Training and Education
I studied jewelry design at F.I.T. (AAS, Summa Cum Laude, 2013) with Harry Winston's senior head designer, Maurice Galli: it is he who inspired me to use colorful gemstones in my jewelry. Prior to earning my design degree, I studied gold smithing and wax caving at 92NY, School of Visual Arts, and Jewelry Arts Institute. I’ve continued my jewelry education in both studio jewelry making (at Brooklyn Metal Works, New Approach Jewelry School) and in gemology (at GIA). I also hold a BA in art history from NYU and attended Hunter College/CUNY for graduate study in art History.
I have been a lecturer in the Continuing and Professional Studies Department at Pratt Institute. I'm honored to be a member of The American Craft Council (ACC), Jeweler's Vigilance Committee (JVC), Jewelry Industry Summit and the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG).
